West Highland Tour
The tour will begin in the Spean Bridge area, visiting places of interest such as Auchnacarry which is home of Cameron of Locheil and has asscocation with the 45. Highbridge, the place where the first Skirmish of the forty five took place, the West Highland Museum in Fort William, which is full of historic artifacts including a great jacobite collection, Glenfinnan and more, ending in the area of Loch Na Uamh, the place from where Charles Edward Stewart left for foreign shores. More in depth details such as accommodation etc will be forth coming. Interested parties could contact the secretary so interest can be gauged. We will plan to stay in a place where there are good variations of accommodations if possible in close proximity of each other in an endevour to keep us all together. Members will be of course privy to the accommodation arrangement prior to publicizing on the website and will therefore have chance to book first. |
